WhatsApp Introduces New Feature for Group Admins to Delete All Messages
WhatsApp announced a new feature today that allows group admins to delete all messages sent in a group within a single click. This new feature was introduced in WhatsApp's latest version for Android and iOS.
The update also includes a number of other bug fixes.
"Today, we're introducing a new way to control group content in WhatsApp. With this change, group admins can delete all messages from a group in a single click," said Jan Koum, CEO and Co-Founder of WhatsApp in a blog post. "This is a powerful tool that lets you remove all the messages in a group at once without having to look through every message individually. This is a big step forward in improving group functionality."
The group admins can use the new feature to quickly get rid of spam or to clean up groups that have become too noisy. It's similar to the feature that allows group members to delete their own messages.
Group admins can use the new feature by clicking on the gear icon in the top right corner of a group chat, then choosing the option to delete all messages.
